PUPPY WARRANTY AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

Deposit Information/Terms (if any):

ABSOLUTELY NO CASH REFUNDS will be given for any reason.

DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.

All puppies must be PAID IN FULL by 6 weeks of age. If payments are not received by this time, the seller reserves the right to re-offer the puppy for sale and the deposit would be forfeited.

If for some reason you must transfer your deposit to another litter, notice must be given to the breeder in writing by the time the pup is 4 weeks of age, otherwise the deposit is not transferable and considered liquidated damages for not allowing the seller ample time to place the puppy within a reasonable time period.

If a puppy remains after 8 weeks of age because a buyer cannot accommodate a reasonable shipping/ delivery date set forth by the seller, monies received will be applied as boarding fees at a rate of $20.00 per day unless arrangements are made in advance and agreed to by the seller

PUPPY GUARANTEE

1. The puppy is purebred and the pedigree is correct and given at time of sale. The puppy is registered with the A.K.C. American Kennel Club

2. The puppy’s general health is guaranteed for a period of 72 hours after the date puppy is received by buyer.

3. Puppy is guaranteed against certain genetic defects until 1 year of age.

ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES

Your puppy is guaranteed against hip dysplasia until he is 2 years of age and can be certified by O.F.A.

The seller will only warranty Genetic Hip Dysplasia. Genetic hip dysplasia will show up in the pup prior to one year of age. Later development of hip dysplasia after 2 years of age is not warranted as this is often environmentally produced. Young dogs or pups involved in exercise on hard unyielding surfaces, puppies or young dogs overweight or poor nutrition can also produce bad hips. Abuse, injury, or neglect are other causes. Any evidence of obesity, nutritional deficiency, injury abuse or stress on the joints will nullify the warranty.

Unilateral HD. Where one hip is good and the other is subluxed is not considered genetic as this has been due to an injury or over stressing the hips of a puppy. It is not covered by this guarantee.

HD is a polygenic and multifactorial condition. NOT WARRANTED OR GUARANTEED.

IF YOU SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PUPPY BEFORE HE IS 18 MONTHS OF AGE YOUR GUARANTEE WILL BECOME NULL AND VOID.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of seller, 72 hours after the buyer takes possession of their puppy, the following will not be guaranteed:

Broken or damaged ears due to an outside force.

Problems resulting from parasites, both internal and external.

Heartworm conditions

Temperament problems resulting from improper training or lack of socialization or abuse.

Any other conditions affecting the dog due to improper care, diet, handling, training or environmental influences.

LIMITATIONS OF CONTRACT

This contract applies to original buyer only and is non transferrable to a second party.

Purchaser is responsible for transportation costs to and from the seller of the original pup and for the replacement pup.

Seller’s warranty is a replacement puppy warranty and not a money back warranty. Seller does not refund money on replacement dogs. There are no exceptions.

In the event of a puppy being returned for a replacement pup, the purchaser must have registered the puppy in an appropriate fashion. Purchaser is required to provide to the seller the AKC registration certificate, veterinarian’s records with proof all vaccinations are current and were given at the appropriate time, and the weight of the puppy at time of exam.

The seller will replace the puppy with another pup of equal quality within 1 year of the original puppy being returned. If the buyer does not accept a pup replacement within this time, the replacement offer will become void. If the dog has been bred, all guarantees and warranties will become void.

We will only accept hip evaluations by the ORTHOPEDIC FOUNDATION FOR ANIMALS (OFA). WE WILL NOT ACCEPT EVALUATIONS FROM A VETERINARIAN OR ANY OTHER PERSON. The (OFA) will do a preliminary evaluation at 6 months of age and a certification and OFA number at 2 years of age or older.

PURCHASER’S OBLIGATIONS

Purchaser agrees: to annual veterinary checkups, including heartworm checks; to keep all shots current according to AVMA guidelines; to properly administer heartworm preventative medication without a lapse in protection; to keep the puppy free of parasites, internal and external. We suggest the use of either Advantage or Frontline on a monthly basis to keep your pet healthy and comfortable. Purchaser further agrees: to provide adequate housing according to state law; TO CONFINE THE ANIMAL IN A FENCED YARD OR KENNEL RUN OR WALK ON A LEASH; NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TO CONFINE ON A ROPE OR CHAIN. PURCHASER AGREES TO NEVER FOR ANY REASON TO ALLOW THE DOG TO ROAM FREE WITHOUT SUPERVISION.

Should the buyer find it necessary to relinquish ownership of the pup up to 3 years of age, please call the seller first. The buyer may sell or give away their dog at any time at their own discretion and agrees to send seller new owner information. Please do not take the dog to the shelter for any reason.

Buyer agrees to AKC register the puppy in the appropriate fashion prior to the pup turning 6 months of age.
